NH Elopement FAQs: Everything You Need to Know About Eloping in Jackson & North Conway
If you’re planning to elope in New Hampshire, you’ve likely got questions about the process, the photos (and video), the mountains, and what to expect when it’s all said and done. Here are the most common questions couples ask me when planning their NH elopement, answered honestly and in full.
How do I reserve photo or video services?
Booking is simple. Start by requesting a reservation form to hold your date. Once I send it over, you’ll digitally sign it and return it. That’s it, your date is locked in. Payment isn’t due until the day of your elopement. I accept cash, check, Venmo, or can send a credit card link. No large deposits, no complicated payment schedules. Just show up, get married, and we’ll settle up that day.
Is your 24-hour turnaround really true?
Yes 🙂 and I mean it. You chose to elope for a reason, and I think your photos should feel just as immediate and intentional as that decision. I do my best to send you a sneak peek of images just a few hours after your elopement. Your full, professionally edited gallery is typically ready by noon the following day. Most photographers take weeks. I don’t think you should have to wait that long.
What do we actually receive?
You’ll receive a full online gallery of professionally edited images. The photos are yours – print them, frame them, use them however you’d like. I’ll share a list of my favorite places to create albums or “just married” cards, but I want to be upfront: I don’t receive any kickbacks from any of them. You’re free to print wherever makes sense for you. No pressure, no upsells.
How many images will we receive?
Most galleries land between 200–300 images. The exact number depends on a few things: whether it’s truly just the two of you or if you have witnesses along, and whether we visit one location or move through a few different spots. More people and more locations generally means more images.
Will you hike up a mountain for our elopement?
Possibly – it depends on location and availability. My mountain specialties are centered around the North Conway, Bartlett, and Jackson area. Think Cathedral Ledge, Black Cap, Cranmore, and other stunning but accessible spots. My couples typically want dramatic scenery without an all-day technical hike – places like Jackson Falls or private wooded locations that are beautiful and reachable.
If you’re dreaming of a true adventure elopement like a multi-mile ridge hike at sunrise, summiting in the clouds – that’s a different specialty, and I’d rather be honest with you than overcommit. For full adventure elopements, I highly recommend three photographers who are genuinely experts in that space:
- Jei Davignon → jeidavignonphoto.com
- Kelsey Converse → kelseyconverse.com
- Kate Seymour →kateseymour.com
They are incredible at what they do, and your elopement deserves someone whose skills match your vision.
Do you provide video too?
Yes! Many couples choose to add on a ceremony video – it’s one of the best ways to relive your spoken vows, especially if you’re writing your own. While some couples ask a guest to record the ceremony on a phone, we encourage you to let your witnesses be fully present in the moment. I’ll handle the filming with professional audio, so no matter the wind or location, your vows are captured clearly – allowing you (and those who couldn’t attend) to truly experience the moment again.
