Jackson Falls During Irene – Jackson, NH Elopement

September 1, 2011 Comments Off

For those who have been to Jackson, NH, I’m sure you know what town usually looks like. I was unable to get out during the storm, but just found this incredible video on YouTube of Jackson Falls during the height of the storm. WOW! Jackson Falls is where I take people for photos after their ceremony if they don’t actually get married up at the falls. The fields in town are also great for pre/post wedding photos. The water was up into the parking lot of the Snowflake Inn!

The Notchland Inn – NH Elopement Ceremony

August 19, 2011 Comments Off

Just because you choose to elope doesn’t mean you can’t keep some traditions of a bigger wedding. Kelley and Bill chose The Notchland Inn to tie the knot, and they did get ready in separate quarters, so Bill could see Kelley for the first time as she walked out through the garden to the main lawn. I love moments like these! Bill and Kelley were so much fun to photograph, constantly laughing, and definitely head over heals for each other.

Ed and Les do a phenomenal job catering to elopements and small weddings, so if you want a one stop location where you can literally drive in, park the car, get married, stay, and have an exquisitely prepared 5 course meal, this is definitely one to consider. Having won numerous national awards for both dining and lodging, you will see why the Notchland, nestled in the middle of Crawford Notch, is a true gem.  Of course everyone has to pose for a photo with “Crawford” the dog…. more photos posting soon!

Bear Mountain Lodge Elopement in Crawford Notch, NH

How can you beat a Tuesday wedding in August with perfect weather and really fun people? Frances + Bryan had many small details that made their wedding unique, including the antique ring that was passed down multiple generations and given to Frances during the ceremony. Among many things they love, animals, nature, and being outside, are birch trees and water. It was fun to go around Crawford Notch with them after their ceremony for some fun photos with the best man and maid of honor.  The wedding took place at the Bear Mountain Lodge in Bethleham, NH August 17, 2010 – HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Francis and Bryan :)

Witnesses from Canada.

Water was very important to Frances + Bryan so we did our best to incorporate it into the photos.

The ring on the stump was passed down many generations on Bryan's side.

I can't leave out the fun comfort footwear!

Frances throws Bryan part of her dress so she can wade in the water!

Glen Ellis Falls Elopement in Pinkham Notch, NH

I am still in awe at how awesome Teela + Rich’s wedding was, one year ago today, August 13th. We had so much fun hiking down to Glen Ellis Falls, and then after they let me take them to a secret spot for some fun mountain top shots. These two were so much fun, so easy going, and totally head over heals for each other. Looking forward to seeing them back in the White Mountains again. There are way to many photos from this wedding that I love, so check out the “photos” page for more images in the “details” and “fun places to get married” section!

It’s My Girlfriends Consignment Boutique in North Conway, NH

July 18, 2011 Comments Off

Just upstairs from the White Mountain Cupcakery…. It’s My Girlfriends! It’s fun to see what elopement couples choose to wear for their wedding day. I have seen it all, from custom dresses imported from Scotland, to shorts and hiking boots. Whatever your budget and taste, one place worth stopping off is It’s My Girlfriends – a new consignment boutique in North Conway, NH…. and I’m not just saying that because I happened to be shopping in there the day they made their TV commercial! (Seriously, it was just luck).

It’s conveniently located upstairs from the White Mountain Cupcakery! Doesn’t that smell good! You can swing in and see Alice’s wide array of bridal gowns and evening wear, formal dresses, and accessories. You won’t go home empty handed… or hungry! Stop off at both for big a “treat” in your wedding planning. Save money shopping, and grab some cup cakes for the celebration after :)

The White Mountain Cupcakery

Talk about a treat! Cupcakes are definitely the rage at weddings and events these days, so I’m really excited that the Mount Washington Valley now has it’s own cupcakery! The Iannuzzi family opened The White Mountain Cupcakery just over a year ago now. They are available to make cup cakes (check out all their flavors) and wedding cakes and cookies of all sizes! Stop on in and check them out – my running favorite right now is the “Refreshing Lemon” – I never was a “lemon person” until I tried that cupcake! Also their Cannoli’s … the Italian in me loves them!

In this video you will learn about their Cake Pups! Yum, Yum, Yum!

The Highlands Inn a Lesbian Paradise in Bethlehem, NH

June 5, 2011 Comments Off

After all these years of driving past the sign, I finally stopped by to meet Grace, Owner of The Highlands Inn in Bethlehem, NH. It is a Lesbian Paradise set back in the woods off Rt 302 within walking distance of Bethlehem Village. I felt like I was going through a decompression zone when I drove down the dirt road past the cottage to the main inn. I arrived and instantly felt at home as Grace showed me around the property. Everything is neatly appointed and all the rooms have their own individual charm. In addition to catering to Lesbian’s they also cater to pets and do allow dogs in some of the rooms. Be sure to call Grace, stop by for a visit, and also check out their website, which is filled with helpful information regarding weddings here in NH. You will also find information on all of their special events and don’t forget they have over 15 miles of maintained trails for year round recreation. Pretty cool that acclaimed Author Jodi Picoult’s new book, Sing You Home, mentions The Highlands Inn!

Christmas Farm Inn Spring Wedding in Jackson

May 30, 2011 Comments Off

Gina and Danny have been planning their wedding for quite some time, so it was amazing to finally see the day come together. The best part about these two is that the weather didn’t stop them from getting out and having fun. It is good luck if it does rain on your wedding :) Sandra and the staff at The Christamas Farm Inn went above and beyond and as always made Gina, Danny and their respective parents feel right at home. I love the old classic car right in the barn on the property at the Christmas Farm – Gina spotted it and I’m so glad she did. Look at how fun her bouquet pops next to the headlights!  Gina attended a scrap-booking event at the Christmas Farm last year. It was fun for her to bring family back to see the beauty of this historic property.  Flowers by Dutch Bloemen Winkel. Hair by Debony Salon.
